from 22 October 2022 to 5 March 2023

For Jules Verne, travel and progress are two essential ideas. And the train, as a synthesis of the two, held a special place for the man and the writer.

Precisely from the generation that saw the development of the railway, Jules Verne took many of his heroes on board this "horse of steel and copper", transforming a means of locomotion that had become ordinary into the emblematic setting for the adventures of his Extraordinary Journeys.

Echoing the exhibition Le Voyage en train presented at the Musée d'arts de Nantes, the Jules Verne Museum explores the world of the train in the life and work of the writer.
